Wilson School Reunion
The Wilson School Reunion will be at the Lewisburg Recreation Center Sports Complex, Saturday, Sept 4, 2006. Lunch at noon.
GED Class Orientation and Enrollment
GED class orientation and enrollment will be held Tuesday, Sept. 5, 2006 at 8:30 a.m. and again on Sept. 11 at 5:30 p.m. in the Marshall County Adult Learning Center. There are no fees and classes are available weekday mornings and evenings. The ALC entrance is located on the backside of the Spot Lowe Vocational School, 1771 Jason Maxwell Blvd., Lewisburg. Children's Choir Auditions to be Held
The Marshall County Children's Choir will hold auditions for the Fall 2006 season on Sept. 5. Auditions are for children in third through eighth grade. The auditions will be from 4 pm until 5 pm, at the First Baptist Church. We look forward to an exciting and rewarding season, with old and new faces!
Marshall County Retired Teachers
The Marshall County Chapter of Tennessee Retired Teachers will meet on Sept. 7, 2006 at the East Commerce Baptist Church. Meeting time is 11:30 a.m.
Five Points Fire Department Business Meeting
Five Points Fire Department business meeting will be held Sept. 7 at 7:30 p.m. at the fire hall. Nominations for offices will be accepted at this time. Community is welcome, please come and join us.
St. Joseph's Happy Days Festival
The Third Annual St. Joseph's Happy Days Festival will be held at the City Park in St. Joseph's, Tenn. on Saturday, Sept. 9 starting at 10 a.m. Come hear live music and enjoy lots of food along with a beauty pageant, pony rides, dancing, crafts, games and more. Aging Advisory Council to Meet
The South Central Tennessee Advisory Council on Aging and Disability will conduct its quarterly business meeting on Wednesday, Sept. 13, 2006 at 10 a.m. at the Columbia City Hall, 2nd floor, council chambers, 707 North Main Street, Columbia.
MCHS College Night
Uncertain of your plans after high school graduation? Find answers at the Marshall County High School College Night. College Night begins at 6 p.m. in the main hallway of MCHS on Tuesday, Sept. 19. Students, parents and interested community members are invited to attend to speak with representatives from various colleges, universities, vocational/technical schools and branches of the military. Come by any time between 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. Any inquiries should be directed to the MCHS Guidance Department at 359-6543.
Play Each Saturday in October
Every Saturday at noon in October there will be a showing of the children's play "Alexander Who's Not, Not, Not, Not Going to Move" at the Dixie Theater.
Benefit Trail Ride
The Tennessee Swift Water Rescue team will be having a benefit Trail Ride to raise money to replace much needed equipment. The TSWR team is a 503-c, non-profit organization and 100% of the profits will go to the team.
The trail ride will be held Oct 14 at Sugar Valley Farm on Hwy 166 between Pulaski and Mt. Pleasant. The ride will begin at 1 p.m. and will include a meal and band after the ride.
