Ruby Pearl Lilly Keaton, 85, died Wednesday, Aug, 2,2006, at her daughter's home, 371 Owlsley Dr, Martinsville, Va. She was born Sept. 14, 192 in Summers County, the daughter of the late George Edward Lilly and Lizzie Pearl Shumate Lily. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Aubrey Keaton, her baby sister, Annie Texas Lilly, and brothers, James "Buster" Lilly, Edward G. Lilly, Everett Lilly, Kenneth Lilly, Marlin W. Lilly and Milton E. Lilly.

Mrs. Keaton was a homemaker and a member of pipestem Knob Primitive Baptist Church. She enjoyed quilting and her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Survivors include her daughter, Connie Sue K. Roberts of Martinsville; two sons, Clarence Edward Keaton of Bassett, Va., and Roy Lee Keaton of Hummelstown, Pa; three sisters, Mae Houchins of Winter Park, Fl., Eva Marie Keaton of Pipestem and Drema Joy Marks, of Centerville, Md.; Two brothers, Charles Allen Lilly of Pipestem and Arnold Ray Lilly of Lewisburg, Tn.; five grandchildren, Rhonda Clark, Denna Ramsey, Chris Lyle, Sherry Flanagan and Lee Keaton; and 10 great-grandchildren. The family will received friends 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at Collins Funeral Chapel, 30 Riverside Drive, Bassett, Va. The family will also receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Memorial Funeral Directory, Princeton. Service will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Pipestem Knob Primitive Baptist Church with Elder Richard Hurst officiating. Burial will follow in Neely Family Cemetery. After the service the family will receive friends at Ruby's home in Pipestem.
