Forrest phenom named All-American
As Mikie Minor ponders whether he will be going pro or going to college, honors continue to roll in for the Forrest pitcher who was recently named a high school All-American by Louisville Slugger.
Minor was named to the 2006 Louisville Slugger High School All-American team along with 21 players who were chosen in the first two rounds of the Major League Free Agent Draft. Minor was picked 13th by the Tampa Bay Devil Rays and is currently considering his options with the team. Minor earlier signed with Vanderbilt and has until Aug. 23 to make his decision on whether to head off to college or sign up with the major leagues.
