For the second week that we have attended the MCHS Friday night football game, we have been absolutely astounded by the lack of participation and support of the majority of our audience (I wouldn't call true, blue fans) has for the team! I honestly believe that Marshall County may be losing the sense of "community" that we thought has glued it together for so many years. It almost seems to us that we have lost all perspective of the GAME! Some people even state the team has lost their heart in regards to winning. I don't know if that is the case, but if it takes a village to raise a child and the village has already thrown in the towel before the season gets going, where does that leave the players? As loyal supporters of the team (Win or Lose), this county should be doing all we can to support the football team. Having PRIDE, SPIRIT, and a LOVE for every sport represents a truly unified community! Too many arm chair quarterbacks in the crowd come to prove their expectations as correct, as opposed to lifting up a group of young men and coaches that have the PASSION for the game of football. Let's start cheering these guys on!!!!
