Perhaps you have considered going back to school to further your education. That is exactly what Shane Sampson decided to do after graduating from Cornersville High School in 2004.

Shane enrolled in the Industrial Maintenance Technology (IMT) Program at the Tennessee Technology Center Lewisburg Extension Campus. In August 2006, he graduated from the program with an Industrial Maintenance Technician Diploma.

The IMT Program is designed for students that like the hands-on approach in the work they do. Industrial Maintenance trains students to take their place along side the people who keep today's manufacturing facilities operational. When Shane began his training he was working at Walker Die Cast as a Trim Press Operator. As a result of Shane completing his training he will begin working in the Maintenance Department at Walker Die Cast Monday, Aug. 21, 2006. Shane completed 4 Trimesters of instruction earning a Mechanical and Fluid Power Certificate, Electrician Helper Certificate, Industrial Maintenance Apprentice Certificate, Programmable Logic Control (PLC) Certificate, Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning Certificate (HVAC), with his final award being his Industrial Maintenance Technician's Diploma. The Technology Center is proud of Shane's accomplishments and wish him well in all his future endeavors.

The IMT Program is taught by Frank Dearman. If you would like more information on the IMT Program, or to schedule a visit to the campus located at 218 West Commerce Street, please call 931-270-2271.
