The Marshall County Emergency Medical Services Committee will meet October 5, 2006, 6 p.m. at 2209 Courthouse Annex Building. Franchise Agreement topic.

Saturday, September 30, from 6 a.m. to 9 a.m. at the Starlight Caféé on Main Street in Cornersville, there will be a pancake breakfast. Cost is $6.00 per person with proceeds used for CES Jr. Beta activities. Pancakes, sausage and drink included. Tickets can be purchased at CES or the day of the breakfast.

There will be a Catfish Fry at the Dillahunty Lodge #112 on East Commerce Street in Lewisburg on October 7 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.

The YF& R organization will be sponsoring a Haunted Woods at the Strasser farm in Chapel Hill, 1.5 miles east of the Post Office. The Haunted Woods will be open every Friday and Saturday in October. Cost will be $10.

A benefit auction for Melvin Dalton will be held at the National Guard Armory in Lewisburg, October 8, 2006 starting at 1 p.m. until. Southern chili plate and the works. Hot dogs, drinks and chips are $6.00 before auction. The auction is for Melvin Dalton's funeral. Doris Dalton is not in good health and is unable financially to pay for the funeral.
