Mr. Cecil Knois, age 81, of te Haskns Chapel Community of Bedford County, died Monday morning, October 2, in Shelbville.
Mr. Knois was a native of Marshall County,, and was a son of the late Wilkie Day and Alta Mai Wilson Knois. He served in the United States Army during World War II, was employed with Fly Manufacturing Company for over 20 years and retired from Empire Pencil Company of Shelbyville. Mr. Knois was preceded in death by a son, Roger Knois, who died in 1980.
He is survived by wife, Lessie Knois of the Haskins Chapel Community; daughter, Rosie Keele of the Haskins Chapel Community; brother, Rev. Aubrey Knois of Lewisburg; one grandson and one great granddaughter.
Visitation began at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 3 at Lawrence Funeral Home.
Funeral services was held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 4 from the Chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home with Rev. Aubrey Knois and Rev. Ronnie Groom officiating. Burial was in Hopper Cemetery in Marshall County.
Lawrence Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Chapel Hill, was in charge of arrangements.
