The MCHS class of 1945 held their 61st class reunion recently at the Carriage House in Lewisburg. Twelve members of the class, along with their spouses and guest were present for the occasion.

Following a delicious luncheon, members enjoyed the displays of previous meetings and memorabilia of school days.

Billy Tyree of Nashville, the class president, called the meeting to order and welcomed all.

Imogene Miller Ledford read letters from classmates who were not able to attend.

One letter informed the class that fellow classmen Dr. Billy Marks Hightower of Mobile, Alabama had passed away in January, 2006 of congested heart failure. Dr. Hightower was a well known cardiologist. Points of interest were read from the class Marshall Mirror. He was voted Most Handsome Boy- MCHS Ideal his senior year. His ambition was photography and was known to always have his camera. The Marshall Mirror stated that one of his known characterists was "prove it to me."

Charles Ealy conducted a discussion on the future reunions of the class with a "yes" vote for another year.
