The Forrest Lady Rocket soccer team has enjoyed its best season ever by recording a school record 11 victories. The Forrest Rocket football team came into Friday night's game with a 7-2 record and a chance to clinch a playoff berth with a victory over White-House Heritage. Although the Rockets lost, they finished the season with a fine 7-3 mark and will travel to Mt. Pleasant Friday night to take on Region 5 Champion Tigers in the first round of the playoffs.
Friday was also a historic game for all of Chapel Hill because the football game was the last game to be played on Lions Memorial Field, which has been the site of countless sporting events and community related activities for 60 years.
The Rocket Band of Blue competed in the Division 1 State Championships at Riverdale High School in Murfreesboro with high hopes of winning the title. The highly decorated Band of Blue finished a strong second place.
