Bertha Mae Gentry

Bertha Mae Gentry, age 87, died Monday November 6, 2006 at NHC in Lewisburg,TN. She is the daughter of the late Joe C. and Patra Darnell Jones of Lewisburg, and a member of Greater First Baptist Church.

She is preceded in death by three daughters; Barbara Jean Gentry, Margaret McClain, and Claudia A. McQuiddy of Lewisburg; one sister, Dorthy Carter of Nashville,TN.

She is survived by three daughters; Mary Lee Gentry of Detroit, MI, Pearl Porter, and Roberta Gentry of Lewisburg; four sons; Charlie Gentry of St. Louis, MO, Joe Gentry, Jerry Louise Gentry, and David Gentry of Lewisburg; two sisters; Doris Jones and Willa Dean Landford of Nashville,TN.; 20 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Her body will lie-in-state Thursday, 12 noon until 6:00 p.m.

Her funeral will be Friday November 10, 1:00 p.m. following visitation with the family from 12 noon until 1:00 p.m., at Greater First Baptist Church in Lewisburg,TN. Burial will be at Gentry Cemetery.

J.B. Mayberry & Sons Funeral Home will provide the services.
