The Marshall County Election Commission will meet Friday, November 17, 10:00 a.m., Hardison Office Annex, Suite 120, to certify the November General Election.

The Chapel Hill Senior Citizens Club located in front of the Forrest School field house is open each day, 8:00 a.m.- 12:30 p.m. Meals are served 10:30 a.m.The cost is $1.25 for anyone age 60 and above and $5.50 for anyone below 60. Cable tv, cards, games, puzzels and free refreshments are offered.For information call 364-9367.

The Marshall County Republican Women is hosting a tea, Saturday, November 18, 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. at the Republican headquarters on the Lewisburg square, for members and prospective members. For more information call Mary Ann Clift at 359-3925.

Ann Throneberry, from Duck River Electric, will present her Holiday Foods Program on Monday, November 20, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. at the Church Street Church of Christ Annex in Lewisburg. Everyone is invited to attend.

The Horton Home-schoolers will hold a craft fair and bake sale, Saturday, December 2, 9:000 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. at the Grace Church Annex, 206 Depot Street, Chapel Hill. There will be homemade breads, pies and other goodies as well as crafts and toys. For more information, call 364-2644.

The Official GED Practice Test will be given Saturday, November 18, 8:30 a.m. at the Marshall County Adult Learning Center located in the Spot Lowe Voacational & Technical School. This test is a requirement of all candidates planning to take the official GED exam. The OPT is provided free. A photo ID is required, and plan to stay approximately five hours.
