Mrs. Pauline Eakin Carter, age 73 of Lewisburg, Tennessee, died Thursday, November 30, 2006 in St. Thomas Hospital.

Mrs. Carter was a native of Davidson County, Tennessee and daughter of the late Lytle and Lucy Frazier Eakin. She was retired from the Marshall County Child Development Center and was a member of Lewisburg First Assembly of God.

She is survived by two sons, Ray Carter of Salt Lake City, Utah and Thomas Carter of Daytona Beach, Florida, three daughters, Lucy Shanes of Belfast, Karen Williams Phillips of Cornersville, and Shirley Key of Smyrna and sister, Ann Finley of Denver, Colorado. Six Grandchildren, Steven Shanes, Nation Williams, Russell Williams, Desirae Williams, Gracy Verdun and Grace Carter, and six great grandchildren, also, survive.

Mrs. Carter's body was cremated and a memorial service was conducted Saturday, December 2, 2006 at 1:00 p.m. from the chapel of London Funeral Home. Her cremains will be privately buried at a later date.

The family was at London Funeral Home Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until the memorial service hour for visitation.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association 1818 Patterson Street Nashville, Tennessee 37203.
