Recognizing the value of Certified Nursing Assistants, NHC Healthcare recently hosted its annual CNA luncheon in Florence, AL. The event was to celebrate the contribution CNA's make in providing excellent care and customer service to their patients and family members.

The CNA's who were the honored guests for the day, were commended for their excellent work and encouraged to raise the bar of expectation for all certified nursing assistants within the company.

Those honored from NHC Oakwood included Karen Hulshof, Michelle Chivara, Jennifer Duke and Melanie Clark, who was also honored as being named the center's CNA of the year.

"This is a wonderful group of ladies who are dedicated to serving the needs of our patients," NHC Administrator Berrie Pate said. "They are truly the best of the best and deserving of the honor and recognition."

NHC Director of Nursing Kim Thomason said, "Not only are we honoring the best of the best, but these CNA's are one of the reasons for the superior nursing care we are noted for in the community."

NHC Oakwood is located at 244 Oakwood Drive in Lewisburg and specializes in offering sub-acute care, skilled care, long term care and rehabilitation services.
