Brad Willis Receives Award

Citadel Broadcasting shined this year at The AIR Awards in Nashville on November 1, 2006, thanks in large part to the Titans Radio Network. Brad Willis received Best Show Producer along side with Mike Keith receiving Best Sports Reporter. The best radio website was also awarded to Titansradio.com.

Brad Willis is a Marshall County native and has never forgotten were "home" is. Brad and his wife, Amanda currently live in Murfreesboro, TN but still have strong ties here in Marshall County. Brad got his career started in radio at WJJM here in Lewisburg and, learned he had a passion to work in radio . Brad's parents are Phil and Janice Willis of Lewisburg, and his sister and brother-in-law are Nena and John Wells. Brad's mother-in-law is Debbie Jett of Cornersville. Brad's grandparents are Sara Willis and the late Berdell Willis, and the late Billie Marie and Paul Fagan. Brad intered with Titans Radio Network in early 2001 and later was offered a position as The Network Producer for Titans Radio Network. He graduated from Middle Tennessee State University in late 2001 and is still employed by Citadel Broadcasting. The AIR (Achievement In Radio) Awards was established in Washington, D.C. 20 years ago, this ceremony is now the premiere radio event in eight markets recognizing and honoring radio at the local level. The National Office of the March of Dimes Birth Defects Foundation has made the AIR Awards a major focus and plans are under way to turn them into nationally televised event recognizing radio broadcasting across the country. The AIR Awards are about recognizing fine work and raising money to prevent birth defects and infant mortality.
