Jimmy Joe Brannon, 55, farmer and resident of Luke Moser Road, died Tuesday, December 19, 2006, at Maury Regional Hospital.
Funeral services were conducted at 1:00 P.M. Thursday at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Jim Cox officiating. Burial was in Morton Cemetery. The family visited with friends Wednesday at the funeral home. Notes of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.oakesandnichols.com.
The Marshall County native was the son of Betty Ervin Brannon Cheek of Columbia and the late Billy Brannon.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Barbara Jean Blocker Brannon of Columbia; two daughters, Amanda Brannon of Columbia; Stephanie (Michael) Lampley of Chapel Hill; one son, Billy Carl Brannon of Columbia; two sisters, Carla (Kennith) Wessner of Shelbyville; Carmen (Brandon) Lawson of Tallahassee, Florida; one brother, Doyle (Kathy) Brannon of Columbia; and five grandchildren, Ty Lampley, Austin Lampley, Cheyenne Lampley, Zach Brannon, and Merendia Brannon.
Pallbearers were Wayne England, Jerry Vaughn, Billy Wayne Liggett, Randy Uzzell, Harold Crabtree, Steve Lynn, Ronnie Stevens, and Gerald Greggs.
Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
