Santa Claus and the Forrest Landing Coffee Club have made some Chapel Hill Elementary School students very happy this Christmas with their annual bicycle giveaway. Tuesday morning, December 19, every CHES student gathered in the school's gymnasium, all eager and hopeful that their name would be drawn from the bag to win a new bicycle.

With the help of Forrest Landing Coffee Club members and Santa Claus, who is personal friends with member Dorris Wayne Weaver, a boy's and girl's name from each grade level was drawn. Those taking home a new bicycle were:

Kindergarten -- Lucas Skinner and Lillian Mow; first grade -- Jeremy Gordon and Kelsy Bruce; second grade -- Tyler Beard and Alexis Williams; third grade -- Ricky Beard and Kristin Williamson; fourth grade -- Daniel Lyles and Cecelia Felix; fifth grade -- Caleb Williams and Melissa Elwell; and sixth grade -- Wesley Stringfield and Rebecca Pullen.

Thanks to the Forrest Landing Coffee Club, these lucky winners will have an additional gift to play with this Christmas season.
