The La Leche League will meet the second Thursday of each month at the Bank of America Community Room, 10:30 a.m. The topic of the January 11 meeting will be "The Advantages of Breastfeeding."
The official GED practice test will be given in Lewisburg on Saturday, January 13 8:30 a.m. at the Adult Learning Center located in the Spot Lowe Vocational & Technical School at 1771 Jason Maxwell Boulevard. This test is a state requirement of all candidates planning to take the official GED exam and is provided Free. A photo ID is required, and plan to stay approximately five hours. The county offices in the Courthouse Annex, Courthouse and the Hardison Office Annex will be closed on January the 15th in observance of the holiday.
All Lewisburg City offices will be closed Monday January 15, 2007 with the exception of Lewisburg Electric Company in observance of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. The Monday's garbage route will be picked up the following Tuesday.
The office of City Hall in Cornersville will be closed Monday January 15, 2007 for the Martin Luther King Holiday. The office will re-open Tuesday January 16, 2007 at regular hours.
The Marshall County Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors will meet January 24, 2007 4:30 p.m. at the Chamber of Commerce office.
All interested ladies are invited to participate in a Bunco Tournament of Marshall County January 20, 2007 6:00 p.m. at the Cumberland Presbyterian Church Family Life Center.
