There will be a benefit garage sale and auctin for the family of David Walls at 450 Second Avenue N. (Old Martin Motors Showroom) Saturday January 27. The yardsale will be from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. with the auction at 4 p.m. Chilli and soup will be served all day.

The GED Graduation will be held 2 p.m. Sunday January 28 at Marshall County High School Lecture Hall, 587 West Ellington Parkway.

The Belfast Volunteer Fire Department is collecting donaions district-wid, door-to-door for the purchase of new fire equipment. Each person making a donation will receive a free 10x13 family sitting or 1-8x10, 2-5x7s, 8 wallets children sitting from Olan Mills.

The Five Points Fire Department will have their third annual soup and sandwich supper, Saturday January 27, 5:00 p.m. at the the fire hall on Ostella Road. The meal includes drink and dessert and is all you can eat for $7 each.

The Berlin Community is having its annual potluck and business meeting Monday January 29 6 p.m.

All interested ladies are invited to participate in a Bunco Tournament of Marshall County January 20, 2007 6:00 p.m. at the Cumberland Presbyterian Church Family Life Center. The cost is $10 per player with prizes awarded. All proceeds will go to Relay for Life (cancer). For for information call 359-4471.

The Forrest School Guidance Department will be conducting a "FAFSA" (free application for Federal student aid) workshop February 1, 2007 6:00 p.m. in the Forrest School computer lab. Representatives will be on hand from Columbia State along with Forrest guidance staff.

The JAL Community Health & Fitness Fair will be held Saturday March 3, 2006 - 7am - 12noon at Columbia State (Lewisburg Site) .
