Charles Edward Curtis

Mr. Charles Edward Curtis, age 79, of Chapel Hill, Tennessee, died Saturday afternoon, February 17, 2007 in Lewisburg, Tennessee. Mr. Curtis was a native of Dekalb County, Tennessee and was a son of the late Johnnie Foster and Connie Bell Neal Curtis. He was a member of the Chapel Hill Church of Christ and was a retired farmer. Mr. Curtis was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Inez Inman Curtis, who died in July of 2006.
He is survived by two daughters and sons-in-laws, Helen and Tommy Hayes of Lewisburg, TN, Patsy and Leslie Smithson of Arrington, TN; son and daughter-in-law, Randy and Brenda Curtis, Lewisburg, TN; two sisters, Dot Burns of Nashville, TN, Wanda Burns of Chapel Hill, TN; four brothers, Robert Curtis, Chapel Hill, TN, Ben Curtis, Lewisburg, TN, Johnny Curtis, Nashville, TN, Billy Curtis, Chapel Hill, TN; six grandchildren, Heather Hayes Hileman, Matt Hayes, Misty Smithson Weatherspoon, Greg Smithson, Courtney Curtis Boatright, John Ryan Curtis; four great grandchildren, Ashtyn Curtis, Joe Boatright, Paige Weatherspoon and Hannen Hileman.
Visitation was Monday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Lawrence Funeral Home. Funeral services were conducted Tuesday, February 20, 2007 at 1:00 p.m. from the chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home with Randy Curtis and J. D. Schwartz officiating. Burial was in Swanson Cemetery in Chapel Hill.
