William Hargrove, Sr.

Mr. William Hargrove, Sr., age 85, of the Rover Community of Bedford County died Sunday, March 11, 2007 after an extended illness. Mr. Hargrove was a native of Maury County and was a son of the late Jones and Annie Perry Hargrove. He was a veteran of World War II serving in the United States Army. Mr. Hargrove was a retired bulldozer operator and farmer and was a member of the Rover Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Lyla Gentry Hargrove of the Rover Community; three daughters, Peggy Doyle, Yuma, AZ, Helen Hargrove, Nashville, TN, Barbara Prince, Rover Community; son, William Hargrove, Jr., Unionville, TN; brother, T. J. Hargrove, Russellville, KY; seven grandchildren; nine great grandchildren.
Visitation will be Wednesday, March 14, 2007 from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Lawrence Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, March 15, 2007 at 2:30 p.m. from the chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home with Rev. James Doyle officiating. Burial will follow in Simpson Cemetery in the Rover Community.
