Not a stranger to the halls of Westhills (Avent currently teaches third grade; Gillespie, fourth grade; and Blalock and Wells, fifth grade), these ladies are so eager about this first-ever WES class that they constantly meet or call one another with great room-decorating ideas, and plans for teaching their future students. To help create a fun and inviting classroom for the children, the teachers are asking the community for donations of gently used or new books, toys, kitchen sets, etc., appropriate for five year olds to stock their rooms.
If you would like to take part in the "Learning Toy Drive," take your donations to the WES front office during school hours (8:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m.). Once the drive is ended, the teachers can better determine what needs to be purchased to complete the learning environment. The "Learning Toy Drive" will last from now until the end of this school year.
