The regular season middle school baseball schedule is winding down and the LMS Tigers are battling in every game leading up to the conference tournament which begins Saturday. The conference is nip and tuck with many of the teams having similar won-lost records.

The Tigers gained a huge 4-3 road victory Tuesday afternoon vs. New Prospect as they were tied 2-2 going into the bottom of the sixth inning. New Prospect scored one run in the home half to move up by a run 3-2.

In the top of the seventh Jack Whaley got on base with his third hit of the night, Brandon Hollingsworth moved him around to third, and Whaley scored on a base hit by Brandon Bush to tie it back up. Hollingsworth was out on a force on third, but Brandon Bush moved around on a fielder's choice by Cody Vernon. Bush scored the go ahead run when Trevor Carter reached on an error and the Tigers took a 4-3 lead going into the bottom of the seventh.
