The post-season did not last very long for the LMS and Forrest baseball teams as both squads were eliminated from the Big Southern Conference Tournament this week. LMS had an early exit as they were defeated by E.A. Cox 9-7 in the first round on Saturday.

For the Rockets, Cody Richardson pitched a no-hitter on Saturday vs. Mt. Pleasant to keep the FHS boys alive, but they ran out of steam on Monday as they lost to New Prospect 10-4 at E.A. Cox and then traveled to Maury County Park for an evening tilt where they were beaten by Whitthorne Middle School 4-0.

Forrest, coached by Johnny Hill, finished the season at 20-7, losing only two games at home the entire season while the Tigers also had a very successful year under the tutelage of head coach Michael Frey.
