MCHS tennis team breaks Page's 45 match win streak

The MCHS tennis team hosted Page on Monday at the Recreation Center tennis courts and played spoiler to the Rudderville squad by breaking their long-standing forty-five match winning streak. The match was a hard fought battle that saw both the MCHS boys and girls win by the slimmest of margins, 4-3.

The doubles team of Tori Richardson and Lyssa Wiles, 2006 TSSAA state quarterfinalists defeated Sarah and Anna Hinton in their doubles match 8-6 and Jenna Branamna and Rachel Wolfe finished the job for the women from Lewisburg with an 8-0 victory over Cara Mastrianni and Katie Bramlage.

On the men's side, Vance Wallace, Drew Huitt, Race Wilson, and Hunter Moss all secured singles victories to push the team over the top. MCHS will tangle with Van Buren on top of the mountain on Wednesday and return home for a match versus Independence on Thursday.
