The official GED practice test will be given in Lewisburg on Saturday, April 7 8:30 a.m. at the Adult Learning Center located in the Spot Lowe Vocational & Technical School at 1771 Jason Maxwell Boulevard. This test is a state requirement of all candidates planning to take the official GED exam and is provided Free. A photo ID is required, and plan to stay approximately five hours. The Rainbow Kids Pre-School Relay for Life Team is sponsoring a community wide Easter Egg Hunt Saturday, April 7, 3:00 p.m. at Saddle Creek Golf Club. In case of rain, the hunt will be held April 8, 3:00 p.m. Donations are encouraged and are tax deductible. All children must be accompanied by an adult. The Mooresville Fire Department will hold its Easter Bake Sale Saturday, April 7, 8 a.m. at the Lewisburg Wal-Mart.

The Beechwood Cemetery Association will meet Tuesday, April 10, 2007, 6:00 p.m. at the Cornersville Lions Club Building for the purpose of electing officers and directors. Anyone interested in the care and preservation of the cemetery is urged to attend.

The Junior Auxiliary will have it's first ever Canoe for Kids fundraiser May 5. River Rats Canoe will donate one half of all proceeds to JAL and will benefit children. The Genesco Employee Reunion will be held Saturday, April 21, 10:30 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the Recreation Center Sports Complex. A potluck lunch will be held at 11:30 a.m.

The Alzheimer's Association Marshall County Support Group will meet on the second Thursday, April 12, 2007 at 12:00 p.m at the Marshall Co. Senior Citizens Center located at 230 College St. in Lewisburg. Light refreshments will be provided. This month the group will have a time of sharing and caring.

The group is free of charge and can be beneficial to anyone caring for a loved one suffering with memory impairment and confusion. If you have a loved one with Alzheimer's disease or a related disorder please come join our group to learn more.
