Country ham breakfast benefiting the Berlin Fire Department Saturday, April 14 at 6:00 a.m. until 9:00 a.m.

There will be a gospel singing at Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church Saturday night, April 14 beginning at 6:30 p.m. Featured singers will be the Challengers from Shelbyville and the Price Family from Lawrenceburg.

Liggett Street Church of God Sunday School, 834 Liggett Street, is having a Fellowship/Musical Day Saturday, April 14 starting at 10 a.m. They will be serving hamburgers, hot dogs, fish and all the fixings from 11:00 to 1:00 p.m. Donations appreciated. Then stay for our musical guest The Music City Boys, Spiritual Airs, and Just Forgiven. Please come out and worship with us! Pastor, Elder Eddie Shirley.

The Chamber of Commerce will be having a fish fry 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday, April 14, 2007 at the large pavallion in Henry Horton State Park.

The American Legion Auxiliary will meet in regular session, April 16, 2007 at the Village Manor at 9:00 A.M. for breakfast, with meeting to follow.

The program will be presented by Barbara Simmons on Children and Youth.

The Genesco Employee Reunion will be held Saturday April 21, 10:30 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the Recreation Center Sports Complex. A potluck lunch will be held at 11:30 a.m.

Westvue Church of Christ will be having Friends and Family Day on April 22. Morning worship begins at 9:00 a.m., bible classes at 10:15 a.m. A potluck meal will follow the bible classes.

The Marshall County Education Association is offering a $1,000 scholarship available to upcoming juniors and senios in college who are majoring in education. Applications are available at the guidance offices of Marshall County High School, Cornersville High School, Forrest High school, and at the marshall County Memorial Library. There will be a church revival at Chapel Hill Methodist Church beginning April 29th thru May 1st. Sunday morning service begins at 11:00 a.m. Sunday through Tuesday evenings begin at 7:00 p.m. Guest speaker Rev. Jim Hughes from First Methodist Church in Columbia. Nursery care provided. The 3rd Annual Marshall County Chamber of Commerce Nine & Dine will be held Thursday, May 3rd. Shotgun start at 3:00 p.m. at Saddle Creek Golf Club. For more information call the Chamber of Commerce office 931-359-3863.

The Junior Auxiliary will have it's first ever Canoe for Kids fundraiser May 5. River Rats Canoe will donate one half of all proceeds to JAL and will benefit children. Tennessee Voices for Children, a support group for parents who have a child with an emotional or behavioral disorder, meets the third Thursday of each month 6:30 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at the First Assembly of God, 1191 West Ellington Parkway. For more information call Kim Young at 931-560-3088.
