Mr. Joshua James Cervantes, 23 of Chapel Hill, died Thursday, April 12, 2007 at Vanderbilt Medical Center as a result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
Born in Flint, Mich., Cervantes was a pharmacy technician with The Medicine Shoppe.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Alexia Hope Cervantes, and grandfather, James P. Belill.
Cervantes is survived by: his wife, Sarah Cervantes of Chapel Hill; son, Cannon Lane Cervantes of Chapel Hill; mother, Mary Jo Taylor and husband Ron of Chapel Hill; father, Jim Cervantes and wife Debbie of Chapel Hill; sister, Tia Ashworth and husband Ronny of Chapel Hill; step sisters, Brandi K. Casey and husband Chris of Unionville; Brittney Freeman of Unionville, and Laura Horner and husband Greg of Hohenwald; grandparents, Pauline Belill of Michigan, Linda & Ken Emede of Florida and James Cervantes of Texas; Great Grandparent, John Lindsay of Florida and several other loving relatives.
Cervantes's funeral was Sunday afternoon, April 15, at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home with Robert Giles officiating. Burial was in Williamson Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be made to Cannon Lane Cervantes Scholarship Fund, in care of Bank of America.
