Methodist Day Care preschoolers

From Staff Reports

Some preschoolers in Lewisburg raised $1,460 recently to help other children who are sick and can't help themselves.

They are the youngsters at the First United Methodist Day Care Center and they did so with another annual Trike-A-Thon for St. Jude's Children's Hospital.

The children had a great time learning bike safety and riding laps on a course for tricycles while they were also raising more than $1,460, according to a spokeswoman for the event.

Winners of the Trike-A-Thon are as follows: Dylan Baus, first; Ali Hoffman, second; Paig Amos, third, and; Hayden Sheppard, fourth.

First United Methodist Day Care Center has raised nearly $11,892 for the hospital over the years and the spokeswoman encourages others to participate, suggesting that they call 1-800- 626-4253 to find out from someone at St. Jude's Hospital what else can be done.
