"Uncle Bill" Lyttle

William Earl "Uncle Bill" Lyttle, 86, of Lewisburg, Tenn., died Sunday, April 22, 2007, at the NHC-Merihil Nursing Home in Lewisburg.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Otis and Bessie Lyttle, and his wife, Mae D. Lyttle.
Survivors include his daughter, Mary Jane Wilson of Cleveland, Ohio; a son, Robert L. Hurt of Minot, N.D.; two sisters, Willa Richardson and Pansy Lyttle, both of Lewisburg; a brother, Harold Lyttle of Dewagiac, Mich.; a devoted niece, Martha Lyttle of Lewisburg; five grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and loved ones.
Funeral services were held Thursday, April 26, at 1 p.m. at Ransom Chapel C. P. Church in Lewisburg with Elder James Nance officiating. Burial followed at the Cooke Memorial Cemetery in Lewisburg. Visitation with the family began at 1 p.m. Mr. Lyttle did also lie in state on Wednesday from noon until 6 p.m. in the Chapel of the Mayberry Funeral Home.
J. B. Mayberry and Sons Funeral Home in Lewisburg was in charge of arrangements.
