In preparation for Decoration Day, there will be a Volunteer Clean Up Day at Beechwood Cemetery on Saturday, April 28, from 9 a.m. until noon.

Church Street Church of Christ will hold Ladies Day Saturday, April 28. Breakfast and registration will begin at 8:30, program at 9:00. Speaker for the day will Teresa Hampton.

Petersburg Senior Citizens benefit Saturday, April 28. Supper begins at 6 p.m. Fish or chicken with all the trimmings. Singing begins at 7 p.m. with the Melody Five and River City Quartete.

The Marshall County Branch of the NAACP will have their 38th Annual Freedom Fund Banquet on Saturday, April 28, at the Lewisburg Recreation Center at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are on available.

The regular monthly gospel singing at Glenn's Chapel United Methodist Church will be held on Saturday, April 28, beginning at 7 p.m. Groups to sing will be, "The Resurrections" of Greenbriar, Tenn and "Born Again Believers" of Leiper's Ford, Tenn. The church is located on Hwy. 431 between Franklin and Lewisburg. Everyone is invited to attend.

Gospel Music Fellowship Association is having its monthly singing on April 28 at God's Refuge Church, 1131 Mapleash Avenue in Columbia from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. Singers will be Ann Kelly, Terry Lester, Danny McDonald and Mary Mosley. Special guests will be Crystal Rover, Generations of Faith,Pleasant Mt. Trio and The Praisers.

St. James P.B. Church welcomes Pastor Stanley Garrett and the Temple of Praise Church Family on Sunday, April 29, at 3 p.m. Lunch will be served.

There will be a church revival at Chapel Hill Methodist Church beginning April 29 - May 1. The Sunday morning service begins at 11 a.m. The Sunday through Tuesday evening services begin at 7 p.m. The guest speaker is the Rev. Jim Hughes of First Methodist Church in Columbia. Nursery care provided. Everyone welcome.

Recognize Vietnam Veterans at the Loyalty Day picture-taking event May 1 as part of the VFW Post 5109 Vietnam Veterans Recognition Week, May 1 - 7, 2007. All local Vietnam Vets are asked to attend, 148 East Church Street, Lewisburg, at 5:30 p.m.

Foodlion of Lewisburg will be sponsoring a Pretty Baby Contest. All proceeds go to CMN Vanderbilt Children's Hopsital in Nashville. Entry forms available at Foodlion of Lewisburg. Entry deadline is May 1. Contest details will be given when entry is turned in.

First Baptist Relay for Life is having a Spring Festival May 5, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Rock Creek Park.

Freeman's Food Fest, 849 Wakefield St., Lewisburg. Come out and eat on May 5, 11 a.m. - 7 p.m. Catfish, ribs, chicken, burgers, hot dogs and pork chops with all the sides. Proceeds to benefit Women's Conference, October 2007.

The Junior Auxiliary will have it's first ever Canoe for Kids fundraiser May 5. River Rats Canoe will donate one half of all proceeds to the auxiliary and will benefit children. The event will be held rain or shine beginning at 3 p.m. and is first come, first serve. For more information call Quinn Brandon at 359-1967 or River Rats at 381-2278.

Relay for Life team is having a car wash at NAPA May 5, from 9 a.m. - 2 p.m.

The Marshall County Children's Choir will present their annual Spring Concert on Sunday, May 6 at 2 p.m. at the Dixie Theatre. The choir is made up of local students in grades 3-8 and is under the direction of Mrs. Elise Dumser. The children's choir will be sure to delight you with their program and the best part is that admission to the concert is FREE!

A benefit auction will be held May 6 to assist Kathy Ann Ring (Homer) with medical expenses. She is 11 years old and will undergo surgery on June 6 at Vanderbilt Children's Hospital to correct Scoliosis. Live music and Auction, 2 -- 5 p.m.; free hotdogs and chips at The Briar Patch Country Store, 503 N. Main St., Cornersville.

The Belfast Lions Club is having a Country Boy Show and BBQ Supper on May 12th.

Bosom Buddies meet the third Thursday of each month at 7 p.m. at the Marshall Medical Center conference room. Everyone is welcome.

Tennessee Voices for Children, a support group for parents who have a child with an emotional or behavioral disorder, meets the third Thursday of each month 6:30-8 p.m. at the First Assembly of God, 1191 West Ellington Parkway. For more information call Kim Young at 931-560-3088.
