"A year ago the city passed an ordinance stating "no single wide trailers in city limits." There is one located behind a house on Verona Road. "I wonder if one of the county officials or team managers or coaches for Marshall County Babe Ruth Baseball Team, if one of their children's names were printed wrong on the championship baseball, painted on the side of the concession stand, would it have been put up that way with the child's name printed wrong and left there for several years? I don't think so."

"Our first district commissioner said he can't support a rock quarry because he doesn't want it in his back yard. Since he voted for the landfill expansion, does this mean he wants the landfill in his backyard?"

"Marshall County citizens can thank 11 commissioners for the landfill expansion this past Monday night. Next time you see them be sure to tell them how much you appreciate them ruining Marshall County."
