John A. Foster

John A. Foster, 78, of Petersburg, died Monday, May 7, 2007, at his residence. He was a native of Lincoln County, the son of the late Golie A. and Genie Bledsoe Foster. He worked as a maintenance man for Eaton and was an avid Ham Radio operator. He was a member of Hickory Hill Cumberland Presbyterien Church and a member of the Sons of the Confederate Veterans.
He is survived by his daughter, Mary Elizabeth Luna, and his son, John Robert Foster, both of Petersburg; one sister, Christine Gates of Honolulu; four grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Funeral services for Mr. Foster will be held Wednesday, May 9, at 2:30 p.m. in the chapel of Gallant Funeral Home. Terry Mills and Larry Hames will officiate. Burial will follow in Old Orchard Cemetery. The family received visitors on Tuesday evening from 4 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
