Lewisburg Parks and Recreation Department is sponsoring the annual Ming and Roger Brown Memorial Tennis Tournament, May 24-28, at the Lewisburg Recreation Center, 1551 Mooresville Hwy, Lewisburg. Divisions will be offers in Men's, Women's, and Youth singles, doubles and mixed doubles. All proceeds from the event will benefit the MCHS tennis teams. Come out and have a good time with the Gospel Music Fellowship Associations monthly singing on May 26, 2007 from 5 to 9 p.m. at God's Refuge Church, 1131 Mapleash Road, Columbia, 931-388-6344. Free admission. Concessions available. Membership application also available.

The Mount Vernon Missionary Baptist Church at 2811 Mt. Vernon Road in Chapel Hill will celebrate Family and Friends Day/Homecoming on May 27, 2007 at 11 a.m. Dinner will be served after the service.

Friendship Cemetery in Culleoka will hold Decoration Day on May 27, 2007. A memorial service will be held in the church sanctuary at 2 p.m. Pastor Clark Albright will speak.

On Memorial Day, Monday, May 28, the Boy Scouts of Troop 173 Lewisburg will conduct a Memorial Day Flag Retirement Ceremony at the Lewisburg Gas Department. The presentation of colors will be at 7 p.m., with the retirement to follow.

The Marshall County Senior Center will be Closed in observance of Memorial Day.

Caney Spring Baptist Church will celebrate Old-fashioned "Back to Basics" Vacation Bible School, June 10-15, 2007, learning about Adam and Eve, Noah and the animals, Moses and the 10 Commandments and David and Goliath.

The Marshall County Civil Air Patrol meets at Ellington Airport every Monday night from 6 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.

Bosom Buddies meet the third Thursday of each month at 7 p.m. at the Marshall Medical Center conference room. Everyone is welcome.

Tennessee Voices for Children, a support group for parents who have a child with an emotional or behavioral disorder, meets the third Thursday of each month 6:30-8 p.m. at the First Assembly of God, 1191 West Ellington Parkway. For more information call Kim Young at 931-560-3088.
