Thefts from vehicles reported to city police

Concrete blocks were thrown through the windows of two motor vehicles in Lewisburg on Tuesday, according to city police reports.

One of the vandalized vehicles was parked at 543 Colburn Drive when the incident occurred, police reported. A purse with cash and the owner's credit card were reportedly taken.

The second vandalism was at 709 Spring St. Again, a purse was stolen, thereby making the crime virtually identical to the other.

Other crimes reported by the Lewisburg Police Department include:

May 22 -- Burglary, 918 Washington Street. The window on the back door of the home was damaged and partially removed. Items reported stolen include a microwave, lamps, suits and a lawn mower. They were valued at more than $3,000.

May 21 -- Aggravated burglary, 1231 Apple St. A lab top computer, camera, and video games valued at over $2,000 were stolen. The side door to the home was locked and pried open. No known suspects.

May 21 -- Theft from vehicle, 1014 West Cedar St. A pistol and camera valued at $600 were stolen. No known suspects.

May 21 -- Theft of bicycle, 527 Jackson Ave. The bike is valued at $100 and was last seen on May 19. No known suspects.

May 19 -- Aggravated burglary, 608 Jackson Ave. A Firestorm pistol valued at $375 was stolen. No known suspects.

May 19 -- Vandalism, 303 McLure Street. A tire was punctured causing $200 in damage. No arrest has been made.

May 19 -- Vandalism, 1640 Jason Maxwell Ave. The front driver side window of the vehicle was broken with a brick. No known suspects.

May 18 -- Theft of license plate owed by Charlotte Reder, 526 Centennial Ave. The missing license plate number is 076-NWS. No known suspects.

May 18 -- Theft of push mower, 309 Woods Ave. The mower was stolen from the back porch and is valued at $50. No known suspects.
