Marshall County Tribune: Story: 2007 Automotive Student of the Year selected (05/27/07)

Daniel Sharp has been selected as the 2007 NAPA Automotive Technology Student of the Year. Daniel is a member of the 2007 graduating class at Marshall County High School / Spot Lowe Technology Center. Daniel stood out among the other students with his easy-going attitude and an outstanding commitment to learning a highly technical field.

Daniel is the 18 year old son of Frank and Sherri Sharp. Daniel's hobbies include working on cars, hunting, and fishing. Daniel also competed this year in the SkillsUSA (formerly VICA) automotive regional competition in Nashville, and placed in the top 10 in engine performance.

Daniel plans to attend post-secondary training in automotive repair in the fall. His goal is to become an ASE Certified Master Technician. He then plans on returning to Lewisburg and working with his father at the family business, Sharp's Motors.
