The chamber is still taking applications for Little Miss and Mister and Miss Marshall County up until June 13; Baby Contest applications will be taken up to June 27. Applications for Outstanding Citizen will be accepted up until June 15. Tickets are on sale at the Chamber for the Chamber Breakfast on June 29, and the Fish Fry on June 30. Also, last but certainly not least, there will be the Arts-A-Poppin Art Show and Sale, the deadline for entries is June 28.

Beechwood Cemetery Association reminds the public to remove flowers from their grave sites in consideration of the groundskeeper. Clean up day will be June 30, all flowers not on a tombstone will be removed.

The Town of Chapel Hill Water Quality Report will be printed in the Marshall County Tribune on Friday, June 8, 2007. Additional copies may be obtained at the Chapel Hill Town Hall or the Marshall County Memorial Library in Lewisburg. The report will not be mailed.

Mt. Carmel Missionary Baptist Church will hold a revival on June 8 and 9 beginning at 7 p.m. Homecoming will be held Sunday, June 10 at the 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. services. Rev. Stanley Garrett and the Temple of Praise congregation of Pulaski will be the guests for this weekend celebration.

The Official GED Practice Test will be given in Lewisburg on Saturday, June 9 at 8:30 a.m. This test is a state requirement of all candidates planning to take the official GED exam. The practice test is provided free of charge by Marshall County Adult Learning Center located in the Spot Lowe Vocational and Technical School. The Foster and Whorley families who descend from those who settled Marshall and Lincoln Counties in the early 1800's will hold a reunion on June 9, 2007 at the Morgan School Alumni Park from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. The reunion is a pot luck affair with lunch being served at noon, followed by a family program and other group activities. There will be a Gospel Singing at MT. Lebanon Baptist Church Saturday, June 9, starting at 6:30 p.m. The featured group will be The Soul Seekers from Alabama.

The Marshall County monthly singing will be held Sunday, June 10, at Wilson Hills Church of Christ at 2 p.m. The public is invited to attend.

Liberty Valley Church of Christ will hold a Gospel Meeting, June 10 - 13, with guest speaker Benny Burns, and song director Albert Carter. Sunday services begin with Sunday School at 9 a.m. , Morning Worship at 10 a.m., Fellowship Dinner at 11 a.m. and Evening services at 7:30 p.m. The public is invited to attend.

Caney Spring Baptist Church will celebrate Old-fashioned "Back to Basics" Vacation Bible School, June 10-15, 2007, learning about Adam and Eve, Noah and the animals, Moses and the 10 Commandments and David and Goliath.

The American Red Cross will hold the Lewisburg Community Blood Drive from noon to 6 p.m. June 14 at Church Street Church of Christ, 305 W. Settlers Day will be celebrated in commemoration of the 200th birthday of the community of Cornersville on June 16, 2007, at Town Park in Cornersville. This is an all day event and the public is invited to attend.

Marshall County High School class of 2008 Parent Club is holding an ongoing cell phone fund raiser to raise money for the 2008 Prom. Used cell phones can be dropped off at the Lewisburg Recreation Center, Mooresville Highway, Lewisburg, which is open daily. The Marshall County Civil Air Patrol meets at Ellington Airport every Monday night from 6 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.

Bosom Buddies meet the third Thursday of each month at 7 p.m. at the Marshall Medical Center conference room. Everyone is welcome.
