Cornersville horse show on Saturday

Friday, June 8, 2007

The 18th Annual Spotted Horse Show in Cornersville will be conducted on Saturday evening at the Lions Club Horse Show Grounds behind Cornersville High School.

"Plenty of good food and beverages will be served," Bob McDaniel, chairman of the horse show put on by the Lions Club in Cornersville, says of the event scheduled to start at 6 p.m.

McDaniel anticipates 33 classes of horses to be shown tomorrow evening. The owner of the horse named Champion of the Cornersville Horse Show will win $75, McDonald said. That's the top prize in the state class.

Little cowboys and cowgirls can saddle up for the stick horse and lead line classes at the Cornersville Lions show grounds.

Bring your appetite with you and have some home cooked food in the Lions' concession stand.

The Cornersville Lions Club and Cornersville High School Future Farmers of America are sponsoring the show

Admission to the show is $5 for adults, $1 for ages 6-12, and all the little cowpokes under 6 get in free.
