Lewisburg Parks and Recreation sponsors Women's Tennis

During the months of June and July, Women's Tuesday Morning Tennis will be held at 7 a.m. at the Lewisburg Recreation Tennis Courts. Bring a racket and a new can of tennis balls. Call 359-7792 for details.

Cheerleading Signups

Marshall County Youth Football League will be having a Board meeting and sign-ups for football and cheerleading from 2 - 4 p.m. on Saturday, June 9, 2007 at the Jones Field shelter. There are also signup forms at the Lewisburg Recreation Center Sports Complex. League fees are $25 for individual and $35 for family. Skyhawk Softball Camp

The Tennessee Martin softball program will host two weeks of summer camps in 2007. Registration is currently under way; please call UT Martin at 731-881-7162 or 731-881-7660. The dates for the camp are June 11-14 for advanced pitching and batting.

Softball camp at Lewisburg Recreation Center

Lewisburg Parks and Recreation dept. sponsors Softball Camp, June 11- 15 at the MCHS Girl's Softball Field. Fourth, fifth and sixth grade students will meet form 9 a.m. to noon; first second aadn third grade students will meet from 1 to 4 p.m. Registration fee is $50. Worth Club K Softball Camps

Worth Club K, the nation's largest softball training organization in Nashville, is now taking sign ups for fast pitch summer camps for 2007. For more information or to sign up, call 615-641-5898 or visit and register online. The camps run from June 11 thru July 25 for various age groups.

Chapel Hill Youth Football League

The June Chapel Hill Youth Football League board meeting will be held at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, June 13, 2007 at the Forrest High Field House. This meeting is open to the public.

Lewisburg AYSO Region 890

Lewisburg AYSO Region 890 registration will be June 18-22 at Jones Field in the Pavilion from 6 to 8 p.m.; and July 21 and 28 at Spring Place Soccer Pavilion from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Fee is $55 and must be paid in full at time of registration. Volunteers are needed to help in different areas of the soccer organization.

AYSO Lewisburg presents

Major League Soccer Camp

Lewisburg AYSO Major League Soccer Camp will be held June 18-22 at Jones Field. Ages 7 and older will attend from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. and two sessions for 5-6 year olds, 5:30 -- 7 p.m. and 7 -- 8:30 p.m. Cost is $120 for 7 year olds and $80 for 5 and 6 year olds. Mini-Cheer Camp at Lewisburg Recreation Center

Lewisburg Parks and Recreation dept. sponsors Mini-Cheer Camp, June 25-28, from 4 to 7 p.m., at Lewisburg Recreation Center Gym. Camp is for ages 4-10. Registration fee is $50 and all participants receive a camp T-shirt. Camp will be taught by MCHS Cheerleaders and directed by sponsor Betsy Gentry. Marshall County Youth Football League

All children between the ages of 5 and 12 are eligible to participate in the football and cheerleading program with Marshall County Youth Football League. Currently there are 11 teams in the league. Teams are relatively small so that all children get to play. Pee Wee 5-6 years old, Jr. Division 7-9 years old, Sr. Division 10-12 years old. Teams from the surrounding area may practice in their own area and come to games in Lewisburg. This is not a traveling league. All but one game are held in Lewisburg. Eligible coaches, assistants, team moms and cheer moms who are interested in volunteering their time for the youth are also needed. National Tournaments

The Tennessee Youth Baseball Association will be hosting tournaments in Cookeville as follows:

July 13-15: 5 and 6 Coach-pitch baseball, 8-under girls coach-pitch softball, 7 and 8 rec coach-pitch and 9 and 10 competitive kid-pitch baseball.

July 20-22: 7 and 8 coach-pitch baseball, 10-under girls fast-pitch softball, 5 and 6 rec coach-pitch baseball and 11 and 12 rec kid-pitch baseball.

July 27-29: Super sevens coach-pitch baseball, 9 and 10 rec kid-pitch baseball and 11 and 12 competitive kid-pitch baseball.

All rec league divisions are only the league terms that are sanctioned through the season with T.Y.B.A.
