Barnes-Brandon to wed July 14

Ricky and Helen Akridge and Johnny Barnes, of Hohenwald, announce the engagement of their daughter, Misty Darlene Barnes, to Adam Timothy Brandon, son of Harry and Franne Brandon of Petersburg.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Gracie McNabb of Hohenwald and the late Carlis McNabb, formerly of Centerville, and Lonnis Barnes and the late Edna Barnes, also of Hohenwald. Misty is a 2001 graduate of Lewis County High School in Hohenwald, and received her B. S. in Elementary Education from MTSU in May of 2007. She will be employed with Hickman County Schools for the 2007-08 school year.

The future groom is the grandson of the late Esta Mae Brandon and the late E. R. Brandon Sr. of Murfreesboro, and Roberta Vernon and the late Roy Vernon of Lawrenceburg. He is a 1998 graduate of Marshall County High School, and received a diploma in Computer Assisted Drafting from the Tennessee Technology Center in Shelbyville, in 2003. He is currently employed by Food Lion, LLC, in Columbia.

The wedding will be held July 14, 2007, at the Flatrock Church of Christ in Hohenwald. A reception will follow at the church.

The couple will reside in Hohenwald.
