A Settler's Day to be remembered

Friday, June 29, 2007

Dear editor:

I have lived in Cornersville for about 74 years. During the past years, our little town has had some outstanding celebrations. However, none have been as great as Settler's Day.

All of the days activities were so well planned. The food was delicious, the film was informative, the book was interesting, the music was good, seeing many old friends was thrilling, the outhouse race was hilarious, the fireworks were spectacular and all other things were greatly enjoyed by a very large number of people.

I am sure I speak for many in saying that Scotty Brock did a superb job in making Settler's Day one never to be forgotten. So thank you Scotty, and your committee, for all your hard work.
