M.C. Youth Football League & Cheerleading

Marshall County Youth Football League will be having signups for football and cheerleading, June 30, from 2-4 p.m. at Jones Field.  League fees are $25 for individual and $35 for family.  Please bring a copy of the child's birth certificate.  Signup forms are also available at the Recreation Center Sports Complex.  Please contact Victor Dixon  (637-1530), Jerome Beasley (703-9123) or Lisa Qualls (293-3908) for more information.

Independence 5k Run and Walk on July 4

Lewisburg Parks and Recreation Department sponsors the Independence 5k Run and Walk on July 4, at the Rec Center, 1551 Mooresville Hwy. in Lewisburg. Registration begins at 6 to 6:45 a.m., race begins at 7 a.m. Fee is $15 for runners and $10 for walkers. Prizes will be awarded and all participants will receive race shirts. July 4 Fun Doubles Tennis Tournament

Lewisburg Parks and Recreation Department sponsors July 4 Fun Doubles Tournament, at the Rec Center, 1551 Mooresville Hwy. in Lewisburg. Youth Division begins at 8:30 a.m., Adult division begins at 12:30 p.m. Fee is $10. The tournament benefits the MCHS Tennis Boosters. For more information call Jane Tilford at 359-2482.

Tiger Spirit Cheerleading Camp

Lewisburg Parks and Recreation Department sponsors Tiger Spirit Cheerleading Camp, July 9-12, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Rec Center Gym, 1551 Mooresville Hwy. in Lewisburg. Chapel Hill Youth Football League Monthly Meeting

The July CHYFL board meeting will be held at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, July 18, at Forrest High Field House. The public is invited.

Marshall County Babe Ruth League

The Marshall County Babe Ruth League will host the state tournament for 16-18 year olds on July 8 and 13 year olds on July 20.

T.Y.B.A Coach-Pitch/Kid-Pitch National Tournaments

The Tennessee Youth Baseball Association will be hosting tournaments in Cookeville as follows:

July 13-15: 5 and 6 Coach-pitch baseball, 8-under girls coach-pitch softball, 7 and 8 rec coach-pitch and 9 and 10 competitive kid-pitch baseball.

July 20-22: 7 and 8 coach-pitch baseball, 10-under girls fast-pitch softball, 5 and 6 rec coach-pitch baseball and 11 and 12 rec kid-pitch baseball.

July 27-29: Super sevens coach-pitch baseball, 9 and 10 rec kid-pitch baseball and 11 and 12 competitive kid-pitch baseball.

All rec league divisions are only the league terms that are sanctioned through the season with T.Y.B.A.
