Marshall County girls complete sweep of Little League Tournament

Softball in Marshall County is now truly number one as all four All-Star teams are now in the State Tournament. On Saturday, the 15-16 year old Senior League girls swept by Giles County to punch their ticket, the 11-12 earned an automatic berth, and on Monday night the 13-14 year olds and the 9-10 year olds won their championship games over Giles County squads.

In Pulaski, Lori Ann Pearson pitched her team to a 7-5 victory to win the 13-14 year old division in a game minus their coach Chris Roberts, who was serving a suspension due to an unknowing violation of a player substitution rule on Saturday night.

At Richard Cashion Park in Lewisburg, "Gumby's" Gang came back to win two straight games after losing 9-8 on Friday. Grace Medley pitched a complete game and unsung heroes Kristin Graham and Sam Dalton played huge roles in leading Marshall County to an 11-6 victory.
