St. James Presbyterian Church will be holding a Pre-Anniversary program at 6 p.m. on Aug. 1. The speaker will be Elder Glenn Duke of St. Paul Presbyterian Church in Nashville. Music will be provided by Elder Cedric Pollenitz and West Harpeth Presbyterian Church.

The Wiser Family reunion will be held on Aug. 11 at the Griffin Park large shelter in Shelbyville. A pot luck meal will be served around noon, with plates, cups, forks and napkins being furnished. A drawing will be hled for various prizes.

Bosom Buddies, Marshall County's breast cancer survivors and supporters, meet the third Thursday of each month at 7 p.m. at the Marshall Medical Center conference room. Everyone is welcome.

Tennessee Voices for Children, a support group for parents who have a child with an emotional or behavioral disorder, meets the third Thursday of each month 6:30-8 p.m. at the First Assembly of God, 1191 West Ellington Parkway. For more information call Kim Young at 931-560-3088.

Chapel Hill Cumberland Presbyterian Church BBQ and Ice Cream dinner will be held at the church on Aug. 4 beginning at 4 p.m. Raffle drawings for items such as a gas grill, handmade quilt and a lawn & garden sprayer. There will also be an antique car show and a Kids Zone to go along with the BBQ dinner with all the fixin's and homemade ice cream.

The Marshall County Historical Society will meet at 2 p.m. on Aug. 5 at the Marshall County Historical Museum in the Hardison School annex. Scotty Brock, author of The History of Cornersville, will be the guest speaker.

The Alzheimer's Association Marshall County Support Group will meet at noon on the second Thursday, Aug. 9, 2007 at the Marshall Co. Senior Citizens Center located at 230 College St. in Lewisburg. Light refreshments will be provided. The group is free of charge and can be beneficial to anyone caring for a loved one suffering with memory impairment and confusion.
