Kristina Branum and Christopher Mittendorf

The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation and the Hardin County Sheriff's Department are hoping the public might help them locate a 17 year-old girl and her boyfriend who have been missing for more than a week.

Kristina Branum and her 21 year-old boyfriend, Christopher Mittendorf, were reported missing by their parents on July 28th. Four days later, the green Geo Prism they were traveling in was found abandoned in a rural part of Lawrence County, approximately 40-50 miles from their home.

Although there were no obvious signs of foul play, neither of the two have answered their cell phones in more than a week, and authorities are concerned they could be in danger.

Anyone with information about the couple's whereabouts should contact the TBI at 1-800-TBI-FIND or the Hardin County Sheriff's Office at 731-925-3377.
