Chapel Hill Cumberland Presbyterian Church BBQ and Ice Cream dinner will be held at the church on Aug. 4 beginning at 4 p.m. Raffle drawings for items such as a gas grill, handmade quilt and a lawn & garden sprayer. There will also be an antique car show and a Kids Zone to go along with the BBQ dinner with all the fixin's and homemade ice cream.

The Marshall County Historical Society will meet at 2 p.m. on Aug. 5 at the Marshall County Historical Museum in the Hardison School annex. Scotty Brock, author of The History of Cornersville, will be the guest speaker.

Hardin Chapel Church of Christ (located at 2661 Spring Place Rd., in the Possum Trot community) is having its annual Gospel meeting from Sunday August 5 through Wednesday August 8. Winford Clairborne is the preacher. Billy Pigg is the song leader. Sunday morning services start at 10 a.m. Nightly services begin at 7:30 p.m. There will be dinner on the grounds after the Sunday morning worship.

The Liggett Street Church of God will be celebrating their 51st church anniversary on Sunday, Aug. 5. Services begin at 11:30 a.m. Morning speaker will be Elder Eddie Shirley, pastor of the Liggett St. Church of God. Dinner will be served. Everyone is invited to attend.

St. James Presbyterian Church will be celebrating their pastor's appreciation service on Aug. 6. The 11 a.m. speaker will be Elder Corey House of Progressive Presbyterian Church in Nashville. The 3 p.m. speaker will be Elder Roger Russel of Stone River Presbyterian Church in Murfreesboro.

Farmington Methodist Church will hold it's annual ice cream, hamburger and hot dog supper on Aug. 11, from 4 p.m. until. The church is located at 2212 Hwy. 20, Lewisburg. Come and enjoy all the home baked goods.

The Wiser Family reunion will be held on Aug. 11 at the Griffin Park large shelter in Shelbyville. A pot luck meal will be served around noon, with plates, cups, forks and napkins being furnished. A drawing will be held for various prizes.

Bosom Buddies, Marshall County's breast cancer survivors and supporters, meet the third Thursday of each month at 7 p.m. at the Marshall Medical Center conference room. Everyone is welcome.
