Terrell O. Merrell, age 83 of Lewisburg, died Thursday, Aug. 23 in St. Thomas Hospital.
Merrell was a native of Lincoln County, Tenn. and son of the late Lewis H. and Mary Hasting Merrell. He was a tool and die maker and later served as a tool engineer for Heil-Quaker Corporation. He was a member of Church St. Church of Christ.
Preceded in death by his wife, Alice Brady Merrell; he is survived by two sons, Terry W. (Lucy) Merrell of Franklin and Roger Keith (Beth) Merrell of Charlotte, N.C.; brother, Elden R. Merrell of Ardmore, Tenn.; sister, Annis O. Merrell of Godwin, Fla.; two grandsons, Jonathon T. Merrell of Birmingham, Ala., and Vann P. Merrell of Cincinnati, Ohio; four great grandchildren, and close friend, Martha Rogers.
Funeral services were conducted Aug. 26, from the chapel of London Funeral Home, with burial following in Lone Oak Cemetery. The preacher was Charles Williamson. Pallbearers were Jonathan T. Merrell, Vann Merrell, Tracy Merrell, Mike Bass, David Godwin, and Dwight Watson. Honorary pallbearers were Bobby Walker, John and Barbara Hayes, C.W. Mulliniks, Bill Lowe, Mac George, Mike Mosier, Trent Merrell and Tim Merrell.
London Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
