Claude Lee Neese, age 81, of Lewisburg, died Friday, Aug. 24, in NHC Lewisburg.
Neese was a native of Marshall County, and son of the late Herman and Margie Edward Johnson Neese. He served his country in the Navy Sea Bees during WW II. He was a retired automobile salesman and member of First Baptist Church Lewisburg.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Kathy Letha Neese; son Jeffery Neese; and step son, James Thomas Rice. He is survived by his wife, Mary Frances Uzell Neese of Lewisburg; daughter, Sherry Risner of St. Joseph; son, Charles (Chuck) E. Neese of Loretto; four step sons, Roger Gynn Rice of Columbia, Bobby Green Pullen of Lewisburg, David Eugene Pullen of Hohenwald, and Kenneth Pullen of Hohenwald; step daughter, Kathy Baggett of Chapel Hill; six grandchildren, eight step grandchildren, six great grandchildren, and eight step great grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted Aug. 26. Burial followed in Lone Oak Cemetery with military honors. Henry Horton was the preacher. Pallbearers were Lee Rice, Zach Rice, Nathan Neese, Craif Risner, Donnie Hopper and Rance Langlois. Honorary pallbearers were Hudley Ford, Billy Hill, Jessie Ervin, Elvin White, Bobby Bennet, Lester West, Frankie Keiran, Lamar Leonard and Joe Shelton Davis.
London Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
