Pregnancy Classes at Pregnancy Resource Center, 218 Martin Ave in South Lewisburg. Classes are as follows:

Sept. 1 from 9 to 11 a.m. -- Labor; Sept. 11 from 6 to 8 p.m. -- Delivery; Sept. 15 from 9 to 11 a.m. -- Post Partum; Sept. 20 from 6 to 8 p.m. -- Baby Basics; and Sept. 22 from 9 to 11 a.m. -- Infant CPR. Jennifer Green, RN, will be the instructor.

Girl Scouts - Looking for girls between the age of 5 and 17 to join The Girl Scout movement.

Parents, do you have a favorite talent or skill and enjoy working with leaders of the future (Girl Scouts)?

The office of City Hall in Cornersville will be closed on Monday, Sept. 3, in observance of Labor Day. The office will re-open on Tuesday, Sept. 4 at the regular hour of 8 a.m.

GED class, orientation, enrollment and testing will be held Wednesday, Sept. 5 at 8:30 a.m., or Tuesday and Thursday, Sept. 4 and 6 at 6 p.m. in the Marshall County Adult Learning Center. Plan to stay three hours each on Tuesday and Thursday, or six hours on Wednesday.

There are no fees and classes are available mornings and evenings. The ALC entrance is located on the backside of the Spot Lowe Vocational School, 1771 Jason Maxwell Blvd., Lewisburg. Call 359-7609 for additonal information.

Lewisburg's Monday night TOPS group meets at 6 p.m. at the Saddlewood Apartments Clubhouse. TOPS has planned a two-month emphasis on total fitness -- Aug. 13 through Sept. 24. The Marshall County Democrats will be hosting a bean supper on Thursday, Sept. 13, at the Briar Patch in Cornersville.  Festivities will begin at 5:30.  Tickets are $5.  Children under six are free.  Tickets are available for early purchase and are also available at the door.  Please contact a member of the Marshall County Executive Committee for tickets.

Bosom Buddies, Marshall County's breast cancer survivors and supporters, meet the third Thursday of each month at 7 p.m. at the Marshall Medical Center conference room. Everyone is welcome.

Catfish Dinner -- Forrest High School will be holding a catfish dinner from 6 to 7:30 p.m. on Sept. 21 before the Homecoming game at their new field to raise money for the athletic department. The cost is $10 per person. Tickets are on sale now.
