Jimmy Willard Criss of Unionville, age 66, died Sept. 14 at his residence following an extended illness.

Criss was born in West Virginia and was a son of the late Clinton Elmer and Margaret Lucas Criss. He was a retired truck driver for C & L Service and Supply in Huntley, Ill., and was a member of Rover Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Helen Criss of Unionville; four daughters, Maggie (Andy) Sorrells of Franklin, Stacy (Alvion) Fields of Unionville and Jalisa and Ashley Criss of Unionville; three sons, Steve (Renee) Criss of Crystal Lake, Ill. and Michael and Gabriel Criss of Unionville; sisters, Alice Criss and Denise Smith of Mt. Hope, WVa; brothers, Jay and Lee Criss of Mt. Hope, W.Va.; Mark Criss of Richmond, Va., and Michael Kessinger of Mt. Hope, W.Va.; his step-mother, Ruby Kessinger of Mt. Hope, W.Va.; six grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

Funeral services were conducted Sept. 16, from the chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home with Rev. Ronnie Grooms and Rev. Jim Sorrells officiating, Interment followed at Simpson Cemetery in Bedford Co.
