Livestock Disaster Assistance sign-up began Sept. 10. Qualifying livestock producers in eligible counties who suffered feed or livestock losses between Jan. 1 2005 and Feb. 28, 2007 may apply. Contact your local FSA office for more information.

Forrest Homecoming will be held on Sept. 21. The Class of 1982 will be honored with free admittance to the football game, a reception in the FCCLA department from 6 p.m. until halftime and also as parade leaders on the fire engine at lunch at Forrest school. Questions can be directed to Forrest Guidance Department by calling 364-7076.

A Gospel singing will be held at 6 p.m. on Sept. 22 at Farmington Baptist Church. Featured groups will be the Melody Five and the Caltons. For more information on this event call Bobby Bivins at 931-364-4858 or the call the church at 931-359-1639.

The MCYFL annual dance for children ages 7 to 12 will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. on Sept. 22 at the National Guard Armory. Music will be provided by a DJ and chaperons will be on site at all times. Tickets are $5 in advance (can be purchased Sept. 21 at Jones Field from 5 to 7 p.m.) and $7 at the door

Petersburg Lions Bluegrass and Chicken Festival will be held Sept. 22 at the Petersburg Lions Pride Park, located on the east side of Hwy 431 exactly half way between Fayetteville and Lewisburg. There will be music, entertainment and chicken activities for all ages. Park opens at 10 a.m.

The Berlin Community Country Ham Breakfast will be held from 6 to 9 a.m. on Sept. 22 at the Berlin Fire Hall. Proceeds from the event will benefit the Berlin Volunteer Fire Department.

There is a smorgasbord at Five Points Volunteer Department on Sept. 22. Service begins at 5 p.m. The cost $7.

Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church will be having their Homecoming on Sept. 23. All -day services will begin at 10 a.m., with a lunch at noon and gospel singing beginning at 1:30 p.m. The featured singers will be Melody Five.

MCHS Senior Class Parent Club will be meeting at 6:30 p.m. on Sept. 25 to continue planning for the Senior Prom.

Marshall County Career Center is holding a free workshop -- "Disability Etiquette" -- from 10 a.m. to noon on Sept. 27.

Archer School Reunion will be held Sept. 29 at the Starlight Café in Cornersville from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Lunch will be served at noon. The cost is $11 per person. Call 684-7005 to RSVP.

The Revelators will be singing at Delina Methodist Church at 7 p.m. on Sept. 29. Everyone is welcome.

Revival 2007, featuring evangelist Rev. Joe Bowers, will be held Sept. 30 (at Caney Spring United Methodist Church), Oct. 1 (at Berlin United Methodist Church), and Oct. 2 (at Verona United Methodist Church). The revival starts at 7 p.m. each night and presents special music by the Berlin Charge Choir. A Youth chili dinner will be held on Sept. 30 at 5 p.m.

"S.O.S." Survivors of the Storm 16th Annual Reunion for Gulf War veterans and their families of the 251 S&S company of the Tennessee Army National Guard and the "S.O.S." Family Support Group will be held at 2 p.m. on Sept. 30 at the Tennessee Army National Guard Armory in Lewisburg. Bring your favorite covered dish or dessert. The youth of Burean Baptist Church, 1799 Berlin Rd., will lead the Sunday service on Sept. 30 at 10:30 a.m. with Bro. Jason Shelton bringing the message. Fifth Sunday singing will be held at 6 p.m. that evening with guest singing groups The Servants and Billy and Felicia Moon.

The Lewisburg Lions Club Octoberfest will be held on Oct. 6 beginning at 6 a.m. "on the Square" with an all you can eat pancake and sausage breakfast. Vendors will be set up on the square and a full slate of entertainment has been scheduled to begin at 8 a.m. and run throughout the day.
